  1. Convicted of illegal shooting, killing ,or injuring Protected species should result in Gun licence revoked, PERMANENT.

    1. Totally agree. This would seem to be a minimum penalty.

Yet another instance of judges having no sense of the gravity of such crimes – or maybe they just don’t care.

  2. If ever proof was needed this says it all . Gilruth can try and gloss over the footage but it is truly damning .

” The game is up “. Let`s hope so !

  3. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT REPORT ON CHANNEL 4. THESE GAMEKEEPERS AND THE ESTATES THAT EMPLOY THEM WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CONTINUE KILLING PROTECTED BIRDS OF PREY.

  4. Well I said long ago hiding cameras was the way to go but the best thing about th inis film is the sound. However we all knew what was happening video evidence of hunting with dogs is all over the place but is ignored by police AND Starmer It needs strong government on law and order which Starmer claims to be but I have no confidence this will help The name RSPB MAY get action. Thankyou to this reporter and channel 4 news.

  5. That was incredible, irrefutable evidence of criminals at their dirty work. Will Channel 4 make it available to share somewhere as an individual news item?

  6. A very damning piece of evidence which cannot be explained away as anything else but a concerted effort by 3 game keepers xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx to shoot another protected harrier also a buzzard and raven too .The fact they were reluctant to shoot the tagged harrier fearing unwanted attention goes a little way to the fact maybe a licensing of the UK and welsh moors would also make them and the privileged land owners think twice , this has to happen … Mr smarmy Gilruth can dismiss this as unworkable or is the reason really he knows under the terms of the licensing his buddies will suffer as they are up to no good xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxx xxxxx.

The evidence against this industry is overwhelming and in any other walk of life would not be allowed to continue , prosecution of these 3 has to happen no excuses no technicalities in evidence a clear crime has been committed justice needs to be seen to be done this has gone on far to long . Maybe we should appeal to King Charlie to have a word with his land owning buddies God save the king Long live the king MY ARSE …. Sent from AOL on Android

    1. if Mr Gilruth thinks licensing is unworkable then what’s he got to worry about or is it that it is workable that concerns him so much, what a xxxxx

  7. Nice to think it is a ‘game changer’, but probably get off on a minor technicality. Well done the RSPB for the investigation and footage. (Also a related report on BBC this morning…breif but there at least).
