Great partnership working by North Yorkshire Police, RSPCA and Jean Thorpe (Ryedale Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre) resulted in an injured buzzard being released from a trap, rehabilitated and then released back to the wild.
There’s no information about the type of trap, whether it was illegally-set, or the extent of the buzzard’s injuries, but still a job well done by all concerned.

Jean is and has been for considerable time a bloody marvel, yet again it is hats off to her and well done .
Couldn’t agree more Paul – Jean is simply fabulous and a real ‘one off” over decades. Well done yet again Jean – and the North Yorkshire police too, Take note other less dedicated forces. Great to have a happy story for a change, but like Roberta said, we can only hope it will avoid a similar fate in blood-stained North Yorkshire!.
