NotsoGlorious-black-bg - Copy

In the run up to the Inglorious 12th (the opening of the grouse-shooting season on 12 August), you’ll be able to watch a series of videos hosted by Chris Packham about the #NotSoGlorious damaging management practices associated with the driven grouse shooting industry. Here’s episode 1:

Over 60,000 people have joined Chris and signed the e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting. You can too. We need 100,000 signatures to trigger a Westminster debate. Please sign HERE

Thank you!

  1. This will be a very informative series of videos so thank you Chris Packham. Shame on all governments for allowing this slaughter in the 21st century. Extra shame to the RSPB for not getting behind the petition to BAN DRIVEN GROUSE SHOOTING.

  2. A series of videos? Given the hysterical and hypocritical reaction to Chris’s last video, I predict mass apoplexy amongst the CA et al. There will also be renewed efforts not to rebut his commentary but further pressure by a tiny, but influential minority, on the BBC to punish him for his effrontery. This must be resisted and, as last time, must backfire on the real bullies.

  3. brilliant work guys and special thanks to Chris for sticking his head above the trenches, for the plebs who will undoubtably critisise, define the word Sport

    1. Let’s market them as the public information films that they are, they contain factual information which will allow the public to assess the real truth behind the bad management practice which is causing damage in the uplands, to water supplies, exacerbating flooding lower down the catchments, reduction in carbon sequestration capacity by burning and release of carbon etc. The public need to know the facts, they need to question public benefit from public funds to land owners who manage for personal profit / sport?

Here’s to continuing revelations around mismanagement of the uplands, to exposing criminal activity in support of ‘sport’. Here’s to securing a ban on driven grouse shooting, to accountability for actions out-with the law? Here’s to vicarious liability something long overdue given the atrocious level of ongoing persecution of protected wildlife?

Thanks Chris, thanks all who have advanced the case for banning driven grouse shooting and exposing the damage that the practice has on our uplands, We must now all play our parts in promoting the films, the literature the updated version of Avery’s “Inglorious”. Collectively a community critical mass will have reach beyond the cliques and their pals in parliament?

    1. Dont feel shy about drawing the language they use and the subjects the promte to the attention of the internet unit. You hear about these people on the news but you dont really believe the exist.
