There’s an interesting editorial in the current edition of British Birds.
Written by RSPB Senior Investigations Officer Guy Shorrock, it’s about the use and role of social media in tackling the endemic problem of raptor persecution – see here.
Well done also to British Birds for including another short piece on raptor persecution and for promoting the e-petition to ban driven grouse shooting.
Makes up for there article on discussing whether there should be a cull on raptors, for which i un-subscribed.
Sorry still fuming from pathetic replies and re-replies from Amanda Anderson of Moorland Association and Andrew Gilruth. The RSPB has these people as partners?
Al Capone and Eliot Ness in partnership to stamp out organized crime, that will work.
Read ‘their’ not ‘there’.
Speaking of social media – any chance you could add a Twitter button alongside the FB one on the bottom of your posts?
Hi Sarah,
We used to have one but we removed it earlier this year because Twitter removed the ‘share count’ number. This affects our ‘social proofing’ status so we won’t be reinstating the Twitter button unless they restore the ‘share count’ function.
Thanks.
Most of the people who own these estates( there are a few exceptions) are the same people who owned and fucked up BHS and other industries in this country. Callous, corrupt and without morals.
