there would not be so many persecution incidents if there were not so many hawks,more hawks will mean more incidents,as in more cars = more accidents,its not rocket science.for to long they have been protected without any culling,and its the majority of us law abiding pigeon fanciers that get tarnished by the few and so called charities that protect these killing machines.
most pigeon racers have hundreds if not thousands of pounds worth of pigeons,they are reared,trained,fed,and raced regardless of cost,only to be eventually eaten alive by hawks.
this is our hobby and sport,and although i dont condone needless killing,if one enters my property to kill one of my birds,it WILL NOT leave alive,i have a right to protect my property.
have you people actually watched what a hawk does to a pigeon ?,or a songbird for that matter ?,probably not.
its not just tens of thousands of pigeons being killed every year,but songbirds are suffering the same fate.eventually something has to give or we will have no pigeons then no songbirds.how will the charities survive then,when there is nothing to protect except hawks ?
So let’s kill all the raptors and protect the vermin rats with wings! Most hawks don’t have the ability to catch songbirds and pigeons are fair game as there classed as vermin! At least they eat what they kill unlkike the Eagle killers! When I hunt with my hawks ill make sure I get a few more pigeons to level the score and offend you like you offended me! Adios rat with wing lover also anyone who actually pays good money for these parasites needs their heads checked
