This blog is written by wildlife conservationist Dr Ruth Tingay who has worked in the field of raptor research and conservation for 30 years. A former President of the international Raptor Research Foundation, her work now focuses on campaigning against the illegal killing of birds of prey in the UK, which mostly takes place on game-shooting estates. She is also a co-director of wildlife campaign group Wild Justice, along with her colleagues Chris Packham CBE and Dr Mark Avery.
