There’s another opportunity for peacefully demonstrating against grouse shooting this weekend, with a moorland walk in the Peak District National Park, a few miles west of Sheffield.
This now annual event is hosted by a consortium of local organisations, who’ll meet at the car park at Redmires Reservoir (S10 4QZ) at 11am before heading off for a stroll on the moor.
Bring food and drink but no dogs please.

I wish the gamekeepers did bother the dog walkers who go over those moors tbh. Loose, uncontrolled , dogs are a real nuisance up there. The majority of dog walkers completely ignore the rules about keeping their dogs on leads between 1st March and 31st July. Others have smashed up signs showing rules about dog control, even ones put up by the local wildlife trust.
Is this because of sheep on the moor? If so I would agree but if it is about the grouse for so called ‘sport’ I would say sorry but what the devil has a gamekeeper to do with me walking my dog on a moor!!! They better keep away from me…my dog wouldn’t chase a sheep but guess she would a bloomin’ grouse and I’d cheer her on…about time the barborous pass yime if the rich was banned from OUR moorland!!

so your as bad as them then, to encourage your dog to chase and possibly kill wildlife that may be in the vicinity of your unleashed dog across the moors.
During the nesting season a dog can scare a brooding female off the nest leaving eggs / nestlings vulnerable to cold & predators.
Is there any way in future to find out about events like this further in advance?
