Taxing Land in Scotland – new report published, commissioned by REVIVE

A new report commissioned by REVIVE, the coalition for grouse moor reform in Scotland, has been published this week.

Authored by Dr Craig Dalzell, Head of Policy & Research at Common Weal (one of the five partner organisations at REVIVE), the report examines the potential for a proportionate land tax which could cover land as well as domestic buildings.

The report can be read/downloaded here:

  1. its not land tax that’s need it’s an outright ban on shooting birds of prey as an excuse for shooting game by banning game shooting altogether. Land tax will just endorse the barbarian killing of raptors as being justified. Absolute nonsense.

  2. I have thought for many years that the land is a resource which should be owned by nobody. Instead, to use it a tax should be paid. Of course land ‘owners’ would strongly object.

  3. load of left wing animal rights nutters. Pretending you just care about birds of prey as an excuse to ban things you don’t like.

    names places traitors faces.
