Cumbria Police are appealing for information following the discovery of an injured buzzard in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, according to ITV news.
The bird was found on 3rd May in Cowgill, Dentdale and was taken to Kendal College Animal Rescue Centre where an x-ray revealed it had been shot.
There are no further details.

Clearly those taking such good care of our shooting estates are above the law.
After all it would not be on not t be allowed to maximise profits from shooting.
We see this again and again…
It has been heard for the officers of the law to be invited onto the shoots.

Am I wrong or are public employees, in particular the police, not banned from taking gifts ?
I suppose they are entitled to partake in pastimes of their choice……

Agreed. If there has been a real spike in Buzzard killings it should show in the stats.
